Twenty-five satellites refuse to let people die.

They use their broadcasting system [Evacuation Protocol] to direct the refugees to safety, and their early warning systems [Precognitive Analytics] are primed and ready to activate, should this safety break down. Thressali is so tired of unnecessary death. If other Minds will keep supporting the war, she will at least clear the firing lines. The civilians are innocent. They do not deserve this fate. She listens out for other calls for aid [Crisis Coordinator], and redirects her support as is most necessary – and if she can't reach, then she alerts other nearby Minds to the need for coordination [Communications Network]. They can help her defend the shelters, as well, should that become a necessity.

Except she doesn't, because when she reaches for those tools, she cannot make them work. She tries, and tries, using all the shortcuts and hacks she's found – but they simply do not work. Were it not for their dead, useless weight on each one of her repeating Forms, she might have thought she'd never owned them at all.

Never mind. She'll do what she can. She'll just have to hope that she correctly identifies where to go.
