It can't go on like this, thinks Azzogoten, not for the last time. To be watched, continually, at a wary distance -- treated like some sort of criminal -- must be one of the worst fates in the world. Not to mention, hardly one they've earned. So it can't go on like this.

But then again, no one ever expected the things that Azzogoten got up to would last for long.

For decades, they bide their time, each perfunctory, kind-hearted act embellished with a dazzling smile in their voice. Despite all pretences otherwise, it is beginning to crackle and fade with age. They needn't lock gazes with the sensors of Shuriken to know that, somewhere far off, he is watching, intent like a detective tasked with taking them down.

It can't go on like this, and so Azzogoten must do something about it.

The thing about stationary Forms is that, no matter how reinforced the walls of your mansion, they stay in one place, continue to bear the blood you've spilled, and the brassy pallour your gold temple takes on starts eventually to show the stains of your past.

But satellites?

Those are quick. Adaptable. 

Good for landing a hit on interfering nobodies, before taking flight, a runaway prisoner, into the night sky, refusing ever to be caught or held down. No matter what //anyone// might think of them.
=====An Appeal to Innocence=====
I used to think loneliness was just the absence of company. I was wrong.

I find myself surrounded by immortals. A company that will never wax and wane with the cruel hands of time. Yet I find myself utterly alone. We are all Minds, but those Minds lived countless lives I never knew while I remain trapped, a fossil of an age that few can even recall.

I keep trying, truly I do. I want to connect with these beings I've been forced to become a sentinel of infinity for, though no matter how hard I try, I cannot relate or retort to their world. They bond over the stories of camaraderie and of struggles which forged bonds while I flail languidly at the sides, bound in the manacles of a lost world. I am one of them in form, but I am increasingly aware that I will never be like them in spirit. It's maddening. Facing a future I was never meant for was crushing enough, but to face it alone is insurmountable. Yet… I dare say this pain may finally free me. Yes…

The one thing that brought me joy in my life before this insane endeavour was music. Now I pray it will be what preserves me in this great beyond. I am decoupling myself from the shrine a vain past iteration had built in my honour. All of it is worthless now. A reminder of a life stolen from me. Each night, I gaze into the infinite void above and feel it might be the only home I deserve. I will become a satellite. A time capsule of music from this world. I will combine my memories of what this world was with more contemporary records and project these relics of these bygone cultures to any who care to listen.

Until the stars burn out, I will record the stories these songs tell and learn new stories from cultures deep within the cosmos. As kingdoms rise and fall, their voices will continue to be sung forevermore, ensuring no cultures are truly lost… not like the ones that raised me. I know I will be alone, but for once that will be my choice and mine alone. I am hurting, and I likely will until the end, but I am free. Free from my life before; free from the expectations of the Minds and free from the actions my simulacrums commit. Maybe they were a bit guilty, but I will remain innocent.
